East/West Industries VP of Business Development Joseph Spinosa Honored as a King of Long Island

RONKONKOMA, New York, December 10, 2018 – Joseph Spinosa, East/West Industries, Inc. Vice President of Business Development, was named a King of Long Island at Schneps Communications Events’ Kings of Long Island Awards ceremony last week. The event recognizes specific leaders for their contributions to the Long Island community while highlighting the accomplishments of the island’s most influential businessmen.

Founded in 1968 by Spinosa’s parents Dom and Mary Spinosa, East/West is a globally recognized leading provider of critical lifesaving equipment for the aerospace and defense industry. Spinosa continues the family’s dedication to excellence, working alongside his sister, East/West President Teresa Ferraro, to develop successful, long-lasting customer relationships that have brought rapid growth, jobs and livelihood to Long Island.

During his almost four decades of strategic and operational leadership, Spinosa significantly contributed to East/West’s deep commitment to community. Recognizing Long Island’s 167,000-strong veteran population, the largest of any region in New York State, he is committed to hiring local veterans as they transition back to civilian life. He is also a dedicated advocate for Long Island’s future in the aerospace industry, providing his leadership and experience in a team environment to various business and community-based organizations, including ADDAPT, Ignite Long Island, The SAFE Association, The Boy Scouts of America, Drug Free Long Island, Nassau County REACT, and Nassau County Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.
