A significant expansion into a spacious new East/West facility has resulted in new equipment, new processes and new capabilities. At 75,000 square-foot, the facility has tripled our manufacturing space, enabling dedicated production lines for each aircraft seat program as well as conventional and CNC machine shops, sheet metal shop, and dedicated areas for oxygen test, molding, seat and crane fabrication, and testing.
Office space for administration, purchasing and engineering has also doubled. And new, dedicated laboratory space for 3D printing gives East/West the ability to rapidly prototype new designs and examine innovative options that can be integrated into our product lines. Our engineering capabilities include: CAD packages: Solidworks, Catia, and AutoCAD; Simulation and Analysis Packages: Solidworks Simulation, FEMAP NASTRAN FEA, ANSYS FEA, LS Dyna; and Stratasys Fortus 450 and Fortus F370 3D Printers.
A companywide, computer-based communication and control system is used to streamline and expedite work for maximum efficiency.
As noted in the Services section, East/West capabilities span the entire product life cycle, encompassing engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, MRO, and integrated logistics and product support. Here is a high-level overview of our capabilities and equipment.
